St. Andrews Swim Club will be participating In Moore County Summer League for the second year.
Summer League will be open to swimmers ages 5 through 18 who want to learn what competitive swimming is all about. We will be competing against teams in the sandhills area.
We hope to help other summer league teams start up in Scotland County in the near future! With Scotland High School adding a swim team to their sports program in the fall we hope to provide an opportunity for those who are interested to learn how to compete before the high school season begins.
Our summer league program will focus on teaching the four strokes, butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke and freestyle as well as learning competitive skills. We will be participating in developmental meets that will allow the swimmers to experience competitive swimming. This program will run June 5th-July 22th, with Practice from 5-6pm Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and meets Tuesday. It’s open to ages 5 thought 18.
Try outs for summer league will be June 5th at 5pm.
Swimmers currently enrolled in our year round USA team will also be competing in Long Course meets. Which means we will attend meets where the swimmers will swim in a 50 meter olympic size pool. Long Course is very similar to the olympics in that we swim some of the same events in a longer pool.
SASC will also be participating in Open Water NC Championship Meet in Pinehurst this spring as well as Battle at the Beach in Morehead City.
We also offer lessons for all ages and skill levels, Masters Swimming for adults and will be having Swim Camps in June and July .

About St. Andrews Swim Club:
When Taylor Cooper took over the head coaching position of St Andrews University in the spring of 2016, he also wanted to bring a more developed program to the community. With over 30 years of USA Swimming experience Taylor has a vast knowledge of the workings of an age group club. He has sought out some of the best swimmers and instructors at St Andrews and is creating a program that has strong relations with the school.
Our coaches have not only knowledge of the sport, but most are still competing as well which allows for a unique understanding of what swimmers go through.
We are a coach owned program which provides the highest level of instruction for the unique sport of swimming. We pride ourselves to be able to bring the highest quality of instruction in the area!
