St Andrews Swim Club Summer Championship 2017

St Andrews Swim Club competed in the Moore County Swim League’s 2017 Championships. Close to 200 swimmers from ages 4 to 18 from the Elks Club, Country Club of Whispering Pines, Country Club of North Carolina, Pinehurst Parks and Recreation, Pinehurst Area Swim Team, Saint Andrews Swim Club and the Sandhills Sandsharks all competed in it. Our St Andrews Swim Club swimmers who competed did very well!
Emily Buie Competed in 9-10 25 SC Meter Freestyle and 9-10 25 SC Meter Breaststroke
Chloe Neumann Competed in 7-8 25 SC Meter Backstroke and 7-8 25 SC Meter Freestyle.
Event 15 Girls 7-8 25 SC Meter Freestyle Taylor Johnson placed 1st in both 7-8 25 SC Meter Freestyle and 7-8 25 SC Meter Butterfly
The Moore County Summer League, introduces swimmers into the world of competitive swimming with fun, short races, ranging from 25 yards/meters for 10-and-under to 100 freestyle for older swimmers. This was SASC’s 2nd year competing. Over all this was a successful season for our swimmers. We competed in 5 meets over the summer with this league with best times and new experiences!
This August St Andrews Swim Club will be having swim camps for all those who would like to see what competitive swimming is all about. We are also hosting a high school camp for those who are interesting in being a part of the swim teams at Scotland, Richmond and the surrounding High Schools.
